The best way to drill holes in pressurized water lines without shutting the water off or draining the system. All WHEELER-REX hot tap kits are hand operated, lightweight, and can be set up and run by one person. A built-in bleed-off valve flushes chips away. The unit assembles and disassembles easily and stores in a heavy-duty tool box with foam inserts that protect the tool in transit and on the job. Safe for water lines up to 250 PSI. The 8209 is WHEELER-REX's most complete kit, with both CTS flare and Mueller 110 compression adapters.
The 8209 kit includes CTS Flare & Comp. adapters for 3/4", 1", 1-1/2", 2" connections and cutter shells for plastic, ductile iron and cast iron pipe, plus the 701440 reinforced arbor for the 1-1/2" and 2" shells.
The system attaches through a corporation stop and/or full-port ball valve and saddle on your pipe; WHEELER-REX does not supply stops or saddles.
