The Orion 78VT is a 7 ft x 7 ft insulated modular archery deer blind, built in Iron Mountain, Michigan, for three to four bow hunters. Nine tinted windows — seven of them vertical — ten R11-insulated panels, and a tool-free build that takes five to ten minutes.
Drawing a bow in a crowded blind is how good hunts go sideways. Somebody has to duck, somebody's camera is in the way, and the shot window closes while three people rearrange themselves.
The 78VT is built so that doesn't happen. 49 sq ft of floor, seven vertical windows placed for full draw seated or standing, and enough room that a second hunter can run a camera behind you without either of you moving. Ten HuntShield360 panels carry 2" of R11 foam — floor and roof included — so the whole group stays out.
Why hunters choose the 78VT
- Room to draw with someone else in the blind. 49 sq ft of floor, 78" of interior height, and seven vertical windows sized for a compound bow seated or standing.
- Four hunters, four chairs. The biggest bow blind Orion builds — space for a hunter, a mentor, and a camera without anybody folding into a corner.
- Sit from dark to dark in a light jacket. HuntShield360 panels, 2" of R11 foam in all ten panels — floor and roof included.
- Silent and scent-tight, which matters most at bow range. SoundShield360 blackout carpet floor to ceiling, quiet poly window hinges, and ScentShield360 gaskets on every seam pulled tight by 1,400 lbs of Quick-Latch clamping pressure.
- Still no tractor required. 300 lbs total, nothing heavier than a 60 lb panel, packs flat into a standard pickup.
- Nothing to rot, chew, or infest. Aluminum panels through and through. No wood, no organic composite anywhere in the blind.
What's in the box
- Eight HuntShield360 insulated wall panels, plus insulated roof and floor panels
- Nine tinted windows — seven vertical (one of them in the door) and two horizontal, in one-piece injection-molded frames with EPDM gaskets and quiet poly hinges
- Pad-lockable door handle with a hose and cord pass-through port
- A 4" vent in every large wall panel
- Blackout carpet on the floor and walls
- Quick-Latch hardware — no tools required

Will the 78VT fit my tower?
Yes — the 78VT mounts to every Orion elevated stand: 5 ft, 10 ft and 15 ft, ladder or stair, plus the 12" ground leveling stand and the DIY platform kit. A 9/16" wrench bolts the floor panel to the tower platform; everything above that is tool-free. On a non-Orion tower, check that manufacturer's specs against the 7' 4" x 7' 4" exterior footprint and 300 lbs.
How long does assembly take?
Five to ten minutes for the blind, no tools — ten panels latched in sequence off the stack they ship in. Tower assembly runs 15 minutes to 2.5 hours depending on model and crew. No tractor, no skid steer, no forks.
Every Orion product carries a 10-year warranty against manufacturing defects and 5 years on functionality, registered at purchase. Engineered and built in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
