Monessen 42" Artisan Vent Free Linear Fireplace with IFT Ignition AVFL42NIF-RB

The Artisan brings modern fireplace design into more spaces with ease. Clean lines, elegant lighting, and beautiful flames create a refined focal point that elevates any room, all in a compact 42" size that fits nearly anywhere with a sleek finish.

How The Monessen 42" Artisan (Reduced BTU) Compares To The 48" Artisan

Homeowners with a smaller room or milder heating needs usually face this question: should I get this compact 42" Artisan with reduced BTU output, or the larger 48" Artisan for more heat and a wider viewing area?

Here's the honest comparison:

Why The Monessen 42" Artisan (Reduced BTU) Is Worth The Investment

This isn't just a compact linear fireplace, it's built with the same contemporary Artisan design language as the larger models, scaled down to a reduced BTU configuration that fits smaller rooms or spaces where a milder, more supplemental heat source is preferred over a high-output unit.

The AVFL42NIF-RB specifically addresses the needs of homeowners with smaller rooms, secondary living spaces, or milder climates who want the Artisan's contemporary look and ambiance without the higher heat output of the standard or larger models.

Right-Sized Heat For Smaller Spaces. With a reduced BTU output capped around 24,000 to 24,500 BTU, this fireplace is purpose-built for smaller rooms or supplemental ambiance, avoiding the risk of overheating a compact space the way a larger, higher-BTU unit might.

Built For Striking Visual Impact In A Compact Footprint

4 bags of included Diamond Fireglass Media create a shimmering, contemporary flame bed

The 38" x 14" viewing area delivers a clean, linear display suited to smaller rooms

Optional reflective black glass and LED lighting can be added to further enhance the visual display

Engineered For Convenient, Efficient Operation

The IntelliFire Touch 2.0 touchscreen remote provides intuitive, fingertip control of the fireplace

99.9% efficient operation makes this a cost-effective supplemental heat source

No venting requirement makes for a fast, easy, and affordable installation compared to direct-vent alternatives

Real Savings

A reduced BTU configuration avoids overheating smaller rooms compared to a standard or larger-output unit

No venting installation avoids the cost of chimney or vent pipe work required by direct-vent linear fireplaces

Included Diamond Fireglass Media avoids the added cost of sourcing flame media separately

Free shipping and no sales tax through Summit Forge Supply keeps the total cost down compared to buying elsewhere and paying tax and freight separately

The Bottom Line Homeowners with smaller rooms or milder heating needs who still want the Artisan's contemporary linear design can't get that right-sized fit from a larger, higher-BTU model. The Monessen 42" Artisan Reduced BTU is built with a compact 38" viewing area, a reduced BTU configuration, and the same shimmering Diamond Fireglass Media as the rest of the Artisan line, so it delivers contemporary ambiance sized appropriately for smaller spaces. For anyone designing a smaller room around a sleek linear fireplace, this is the size built to fit without overheating the space.
