Dimplex Optimyst 66" Linear Vapor Fireplace OLF66-AM

The Optimyst® Linear is a water vapor electric fireplace that creates ultra-realistic 3D flames and smoke using patented vapor technology and LED lighting. Designed for residential living spaces and feature walls, it offers safe, heat-free flame visuals and is available in widths from 46" to 86".

How The Dimplex Optimyst 66" Compares To Other Fireplace Options

Homeowners evaluating vapor fireplaces for mid-size feature walls usually face this question: should I get the compact Optimyst 46", this mid-size 66" model, or the 86" flagship for maximum visual impact?

Here's the honest comparison:

Why The Dimplex Optimyst 66" Is Worth The Investment

This isn't just an electric fireplace, it's built on the same patented vapor technology as Dimplex's full-size Optimyst models, sized to fill a mid-size feature wall with true 3D flame and smoke realism without the scale or cost of the largest 86" flagship.

The Optimyst 66" specifically addresses the needs of homeowners with mid-size living rooms or feature walls who want the most convincing flame experience available in an electric fireplace, especially in homes with children or pets.

True 3D Flame And Smoke, Sized Right For The Room. Patented vapor flame technology and advanced LED lighting work together to imitate true flames and smoke, delivering the same dimensional, moving fire effect as the larger Optimyst models across a 66" width that fits comfortably in a mid-size living room or media wall.

Built For Safety Without Sacrificing Realism

Because the flames do not generate heat, the glass stays cool to the touch, making it safer around children and pets than heat-producing fireplace options

There are no harmful emissions, making the Optimyst a sustainable, eco-friendly choice for year-round ambiance

An on-demand heater can be turned off entirely, allowing flame-only enjoyment regardless of the season

Engineered For A Complete Sensory Experience

Adjustable spacers allow the flame width and shape to be customized for a unique fire display

An adjustable crackling sound effect adds an additional layer of realism beyond the visual flame

Multicolor flame effects and individual light control allow the display to shift from a traditional amber glow to fully customizable colors

Real Savings

No combustion and no emissions eliminate the venting, chimney, or gas line costs associated with real fireplaces

Connecting to a main water line eliminates the need for manual refills, reducing maintenance over time

Cool-touch glass reduces the safety modifications or barriers often needed around heat-producing fireplaces in homes with children or pets

Free shipping and no sales tax through Summit Forge Supply keeps the total cost down compared to buying elsewhere and paying tax and freight separately

The Bottom Line Homeowners with mid-size living rooms or feature walls who want the same realistic, safe flame experience found in Dimplex's larger Optimyst models can't get true 3D flame and smoke realism from a standard LED unit at this scale. The Dimplex Optimyst 66" is built with patented vapor technology, cool-touch glass, and a complete sensory experience including sound, so it delivers a genuinely lifelike fire without heat or emissions, sized right for a mid-size space. For anyone with a feature wall that calls for real presence without going to the largest available size, this is the unit built to fit.

• Patented Optimyst® vapor technology produces lifelike 3D flames and smoke without real fire.
